Bringing the digital revolution to hospitals
Tickit, digital patient data platform by Tickit Health, has been recognized by Canadian Business as a driving force for innovation in hospitals in Ontario. Tickit's tablet based multi-language admission forms is aiming to improve hospital workflow through software. “It’s driving massive innovation in hospitals to figure out how technology can be leveraged to get more efficient and effective,” says Zayna Khayat, health lead at MaRS. “A smart hospital will allow a shift from episodic care on the doctor’s terms to continuous care, where really the patient is in charge.”
We're seeing the healthcare industry is realizing the need to adopt more technological innovation to improve patient care. Supporting the trend with us is Mackenzie Health, a healthcare innovation company based in Richmond Hill ON who are setting up 34-bed Innovation Unit last year to test novel technologies. They plan to roll out to the rest of the hospital and may be integrated into a new facility in nearby Vaughan in 2019.
