SBIRT: Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment
Tickit supports MTSS programs, like Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment in King County (WA), which implemented universal screening to provide affordable, streamlined, equitable and tiered mental health support for students in middle school and high school.
The SB-SBIRT program uses the “Check Yourself” universal screening tool, which includes validated measures, together with protective factor topics and built-in feedback.
The success of this initiative led to the development of SB-SBIRT Playbook that contains a collection of actions and considerations called “Plays” to assist a school district or school with implementing the SB-SBIRT model.
