Better Lives through
Tickit Health was born from critical communication gaps in healthcare and has evolved to deliver on the principles of Digital Empathy to all people. Through Digital Empathy, organizational performance and outcomes improve.

Our Mission
Positively impact more than 1 million lives by 2024
We believe this Mission is based on a more empathetic approach to communication; applying Digital Empathy to an organization’s support for populations of people is a key part of that.
For an organization to effectively respond to the needs of its populations, it needs to know each individual’s unique needs. This can be challenging, particularly when the information necessary to support an individual may be stigmatizing.
Digitally Empathetic tools engender trust with individuals, enabling them to disclose maximum information with greater honesty.
Using real-time reporting and person-centric resources in a single digital platform, Tickit not only holds the capacity to better capture the information but also empowers organizations to identify and support each individual, effectively.

Tickit Health Leadership & Governance
The Tickit Health company is a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative team bringing Digital Empathy into everything we do. Whether that means leveraging our expertise to design culturally adaptable surveys, assessments, and screeners for diverse populations or partnering with organizations to solve complex workflow challenges, we’re experts in empathetic person-reported data collection.
The populations we serve are also reflected in our team, and we love learning from each other’s different cultural backgrounds both on a personal level and for the strength of our product.
The research behind Tickit was initiated by our Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sandy Whitehouse, an adolescent physician. In her time as a medical director of emergency services at BC Children’s Hospital, Dr. Sandy routinely struggled to obtain accurate and complete information from her young patients. Testing through various innovative methods, Dr. Whitehouse was able to obtain more accurate information form her patients by putting a validated questionnaire onto a digital platform, using images and icons appropriate to her patients. This approach resulted in greater fidelity of responses collected, enabling Dr. Whitehouse and her colleagues to have more engaging conversations, identify critical issues and render appropriate treatment. With Whitehouse as co-founder, the idea became the basis of Tickit Health.
At Tickit Health, Sandy leverages her extensive background in healthcare industry to consult healthcare organizations in population health matters and design innovative questionnaires that result in high-fidelity data for organizations to improve their services and care delivery. Currently, she is also serving on the Board of Directors for ITAC Health.
